This yearʻs 2025 Livestock Tagging Event was a great success!
Our 4-H team traveled around the island to visit participating youth exhibitors preparing for the upcoming Livestock County Show on June 16, 2025. During the event, we placed identification tags, also known as tag numbers on a variety of animals including chickens, pigs, sheep, goats and rabbits!
All smiles and boots on the ground — These participants and their animals are ready for the O‘ahu County Livestock Show!
As part of our commitment to animal and human health, we provided youth with an educational handout reviewing how to protect themselves and their animals against the spread of harmful diseases.
4-H Youth members received this Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) fact sheet during the tagging event to help promote safe animal handling and awareness of disease prevention.
